General comments
Bij groot tubo-ovarieel abces overweeg metronidazol 500 mg 3 dd i.p.v. 2 dd
Bij overgevoeligheid en/of contra-indicatie voor metronidazol kan daarvoor in de plaats worden voorgeschreven: clindamycine 600 mg p.o., 3 dd gedurende 14 dagen.
Bij overgevoeligheid en/of contra-indicatie voor levofloxacine (fluorochinolonen) kan daarvoor in de plaats worden voorgeschreven: doxycycline 100 mg p.o., 2 dd gedurende 14 dagen
Altijd voorafgaand aan therapie materiaal afnemen voor onderzoek naar Chlamydia trachomatis en gonokokken
Bij bewezen chlamydia infectie behandelen met doxycycline 100 mg 2 dd gedurende 14 dagen.
