General comments
Altijd voorafgaand aan therapie materiaal afnemen voor onderzoek naar Chlamydia trachomatis en gonokokken (cervix- en urethra-uitstrijk eSwab roze).
Indien een Chlamydia- of gonokokkeninfectie wordt gevonden tevens de partner(s) behandelen, bij voorkeur na afname van materiaal voor SOA-diagnostiek.
Overweeg om een IUD te verwijderen, dit is niet noodzakelijk.
Bij groot tubo-ovarieel abces overweeg metronidazol 500 mg 3 dd i.p.v. 2 dd
