General comments
Therapie primair chirurgisch.
Therapie aanpassen op basis van kweek.
Duur afhankelijk van klinisch beloop, indien bij (verdenking op) groep A streptokokkeninfectie clindamycine gegeven wordt om de toxineproductie te remmen: duur clinda o.b.v. klinische respons.
Bij Groep A streptokokken: overweeg immuunglobulines toe te voegen. Advies: z.s.m. starten 1g/kg/dg, gedurende twee dagen.
Invasieve groep A-streptokokkenfecties zijn meldingsplichtig, groep B2
